HESPERIA, CA — The High Desert Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HDHCC) proudly hosted its highly anticipated signature event, Connexión, on Saturday July 26, 2025, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Hesperia. With over 150 attendees, the event brought together an inspiring blend of business leaders, educators, legislators, and community champions under one roof to elevate, unite, and empower the High Desert region. The success of Connexión was made possible thanks to our Presenting Sponsors, Victor Valley College and U.S. Bank, whose commitment to education and economic growth continues to inspire the region. We are also deeply grateful to our Platinum Sponsors: Chukwala National Monument Foundation, Desert Valley Hospital, Desert Valley Medical Group, Victorville Motors, The Jet Room, Retired Colonel Paul Cook, 1st District Supervisor, and Patterson’s Print Shop for their unwavering support and investment in our community.
The program was skillfully led by our Master of Ceremonies, Edward F. Alvarez, Dean of Student Services at Victor Valley College, whose energy and professionalism helped drive the event forward. President Iris Guiterrez, welcome an all-star line up by reminding us that we have a responsibility as leader to UNITE, EMPOWER and ELEVATE one another. We were honored to welcome a distinguished lineup of guest speakers, including:
- Brian Kennedy, Ampac Business Capital
- Dr. Melissa Echegoyan, Internal Medicine Resident, Desert Valley Hospital
- Josie Gonzalez, Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk, San Bernardino County
- Dr. Vincent Nestler, Assistant Professor, California State University, San Bernardino
- Congressman Jay Obernolte, representing California’s 23rd District
The event also featured a dynamic and solutions-driven panel discussion moderated by HDHCC Chair and Legislative Director Yvonne Molles, focusing on the intersection of business, education, policy, and innovation in the High Desert.
“This event was more than just a networking opportunity—it was a catalyst for meaningful collaboration across sectors,” said Chair Molles. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, supported, and participated in making Connexión a success. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive future for the High Desert.”
