Vote early by mail or in person. Complete your voting process in October! Do not wait for November! Avoid the promised ‘Trump-Terror’ at the polls! He feels his power and will do everything he can to stay out of jail. He has predicted that a Democratic win in November’s election will guarantee his impeachment! Trump controls our military and ICE, the Department of Justice and the Supreme Court! That inspires him to try everything he can to stay in power so he can stay out of jail! Will he use ICE to create chaos and confusion at the polls? Will he send his January 6th seditionist to assure anger and violence at the polls? Will he accept a Democrat win under any circumstances?
Democrats winning the House and the Senate means little if Trump can prevent newly elected Democrats from being sworn-in and seated… I predict that the November 3rd Democrat win will be met with a November 4th Trump State of Emergency declaration!
The Holiday Season will become a stress-mess! Getting to the new year will be very challenging. The biggest challenge of which will be prioritizing; recognizing the difference between what is interesting and what is important; and how to not only survive the storm, but how to thrive in the storm.
We have grown and maintained our families and culture, despite enslavement, Jim Crow, and White Supremacy. We have loved and supported each other under some of the most terrifying and treacherous circumstances imaginable. We can and will survive and thrive despite Trump’s Terrible Travesty.
We will do it by remembering our roots and our strength of family. Our African American experience has prepared us to lead America to becoming the freedom-land that was promised. A promise by White men made in the presence of enslaved African Americans. African Americans who became an integral part the foundation and infrastructure of this great experiment. We were here at the beginning and are part of the plan! We remember the promise, and we won’t quit until it is realized!
Walk together children, don’t get weary!
