SAN BERNARDINO, CA – As artificial intelligence reshapes business, education and the workforce, BBOP Center is expanding access to practical AI training to advance entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and economic mobility.

As part of that work, BBOP Center presented the virtual Free AI Mini Summit, hosted by Dr. Kim Carter-Tillman, founder of Time for Change Foundation and BBOP Center, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Open to participants nationwide, the free virtual summit will taught entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofits, workforce professionals and lifelong learners how to apply artificial intelligence to real workplace and community challenges.

“AI literacy is no longer optional,” said Dr. Carter-Tillman. “It is essential for staying ready, working smarter and creating new opportunities. Our communities cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while the future is being shaped. They need the knowledge, tools and confidence to take their seat at the table and lead.”

Artificial intelligence is changing jobs and the skills workers need to succeed. The World Economic Forum reports that nearly 4 in 10 jobs skills are expected to change by 2030, highlighting the growing need for accessible AI education and workforce training. BBOP Center is helping prepare entrepreneurs, workers and communities for that shift.

Designed for all levels of technical experience, the summit featured presentations from top AI experts covering fundamentals, prompt engineering, automation, content creation and nonprofit applications. Attendees gained practical skills they can apply immediately to save time and boost productivity.

Dr. Carter-Tillman is a CNN Hero and Nexstar’s 2025 Remarkable Woman of the Year, who has dedicated her life to turning adversity into advocacy and empowerment for historically underserved communities. She will be joined by Dr. Mesha Bazemore, founder of MBazemore AI Solutions; Entrepreneur and AI Consultant Wesley Brach; AI Systems Strategist Kalilah Hudson; and Shonda Moore, founder and CEO of We Brand U Social.

Earlier this year, Dr. Carter-Tillman and the BBOP Center launched the Kinetic AI Hub to make artificial intelligence more accessible and practical for entrepreneurs, workers, and community organizations. The Free AI Mini Summit was the next step in advancing that mission. The BBOP Center’s programs have supported more than 250 entrepreneurs, launched 108 businesses, deployed more than $460,000 in capital, and created more than 215 jobs.

“The future won’t wait, which is why I encourage entrepreneurs, educators, working professionals, and everyone to learn AI today so they can lead tomorrow,” said Dr. Carter-Tillman.

The Free AI Mini Summit took place Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Pacific time on Zoom. Attendance was free, but advance registration was required.
