No Corners Cut, No Pacifying, No Round-About Way

““What Will It Take Before You Heed the Word of God!”

By Lou Yeboah

Listen, God sent warning through Ezekiel conveying that He was finished with disobedience and hard hearts, and He was ready to judge and punish His people for their rebellious spirit and actions. For Thus saith the Lord, “Behold, I Myself am going to bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places; And I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations upon you. My eye will have no pity on you, nor will I spare you; then you will know that I am the Lord!” [Ezekiel 7: 4-9].

Listen, God gave Ezekiel three specific prophecies regarding how the people will be punished—one-third will die by plagues or famine; one-third will fall by the sword; one-third will be scatted to every wind.

But the people could not believe God would punish or hurt them, so they ignored the prophecies which instructed them to repent and turn to their own. [Ezekiel chapters 4-7]. Don’t you do it! Don’t you be like disobedient Israel. God’s patience was all used up and the penalty for their disobedience was coming no matter what. [Ezekiel 23:35]. Instead of trusting God, they refused to enter the Promised Land. As a result, they missed settling in their own homeland and instead wandered in the desert for 40 years until that generation died.

You see all throughout the Bible, God has tried to get us to do right, but naw, we want to do what we want to do. Well, I got news for you; continue to do you boo, boo, and see what happens. Soon and very soon you will regret your rebelliousness toward the Lord. God desire is for us to “learn and turn.” Don’t be a hard head like the rebellious Israel who died after wandering in the desert for 40 years. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. [Matthew 7:13]. So, if your hand cause you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched–where ‘Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched–where ‘Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’  And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire–where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched. [Mark 9:43-48].

I tell you every day God is doing everything possible to keep us from going into that awful, inconceivable place. God wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth [1 Timothy 2:4]. So repent before it’s too late! As the Apostle Peter says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise . . . but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” [2 Peter 3:9]. So, I ask you what will it take before you heed the word of God? Keeping in mind that there could come a time when God says, “Enough is Enough!”. Shudder at the thought. Do not take God’s forbearance for granted, for if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall you escape if you neglect so great a salvation, which at first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. [Hebrews 2:1-3]. You ought to know that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but would rather that we should turn unto Him and live. [Romans 2:4]. Turn and be saved, for Jesus says of those who refuse to be saved, “These shall go away into everlasting punishment [Matthew 25:46] and be lost forever.

A Voice from Hell. [Luke 16:19-31]. “In Hell, he lifted up his eyes being in torment” It is an awful cry, “Cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.”

“You’ve Been Had!”

By Lou Yeboah

Tricked, backstabbed, [hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray, run amok and flat out deceived ? Malcom X] believing, the lies of Satan. Jesus clearly revealed Satan’s intentions: He said in, [John 10:10] “The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy.” Satan’s ultimate goal is to promote death and destruction, as the Bible makes clear. I tell you; you’ve been had, tricked, and backstabbed. The devil was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. [John 8:44].

Be sober [watch], be vigilant [stay awake]; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour [1 Peter 5:8]. The devil is active and working to take hold over your entire life. His ultimate goal is to steal you away from God, through lies, distorting your view of God, and appealing to your fleshly desires. And so far, he has done well, got you believing that you can continue on the destruction path that you are on without any consequences. The devil is a liar! You better repent before it is too late! Cause living in sin means playing a game that you cannot win. And sooner or later, sin’s consequences will catch up with you [Leviticus 20 and Deuteronomy 22].

I tell you; you’ve been had, tricked, and backstabbed, just like Adam and Eve in the garden [Genesis 2:16-17]. The devil showed up in the garden and deceived man into eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God told Adam that he could not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because he would surely die if he had done so. Yet Satan came along and whispered in Eve’s ear that they would not die if they ate from the tree, and that they would be like God, knowing good and evil [Genesis 3:2-5]. Believing the lies of the devil, Adam and Eve ate from the tree and from that, both sin and death entered into the world. Don’t let his lies deceive you into compromising your obedience to God. You have an enemy. His number one weapon against you is a lie, and if you believe that lie, your onward progress will stop with God.

You see, the Bible describes Satan as the prince of this world who opposes God and lies to you, to appeal to the appetites of your flesh. “I don’t want you to be ignorant of his devices.” He’s a schemer. [2 Corinthians 2:11]. Scripture tells us that those who end up falling for the devil’s tricks, and are fully convinced to follow him, that God will give them over to a debased mind [Romans 1:28] and that they will be condemned because they did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness [2 Thessalonians 2:11-12]. I tell you, you’ve been had, tricked, backstabbed, “hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray, run amok and flat out deceived.”

It’s time to wake up! Do not give place to the devil [Ephesians 4:27]. Resist him and he will flee [James 4:7]. Learn to recognize the devil’s lies, reject those lies and replace them with the Truth of God’s Word. Only then can you live the way you were meant to live. The devil had your past, but he shall not have your future! Declare war on him –Make up your mind that you are going to resist him. Become indignant about the damage he has done in your life and the lives of those you love. Determine you are going to do everything to keep him from invading your life anymore. Verbally declare that he has no place in your life and mean it. Arm yourself – [Ephesians 6:10-17 – 2 Corinthians 10:4-5], and FIGHT! [1 Timothy 6:12] God has authorized you to stand against the enemy. [Ephesians 6:10-18]. Go to battle because your life depends on it!

And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. [Revelation 20:10].

“Be On Guard Be Alert!”

By Lou Yeboah

Danger lurking around the corner! Satan is making his last preparations before sending the Antichrist to take over the earth. All is about to come forth, as it is laid out in Scriptures. The trap has already been laid. For those who are looking for the obvious, they will be deceived, for it is done in the shadows and darkness, so most cannot see what is being done, though it is right under their very noses. Be on guard be alert! Danger lurking around the corner!

Understand, illusionists, major in the art of optical illusion.  It is not what it looks like! They divert your attention away from what’s really happening, getting you distracted, so they can implement their smoke and mirrors tricks and when you look back at what you thought was real, you realize it wasn’t real at all. Be hypervigilant because danger is lurking around the corner.

Unfolding before our eyes, certain signs hint that the enactment of Antichrist’s plan is imminent. As they come into play, we should anticipate “the man of lawlessness to be revealed.” Until now, he is hidden. But the Antichrist will soon launch his operations on earth as Satan uses him as a puppet. [Revelation 13:4]. Be on guard be alert, because everything that is happening in the world today is in full rhythm to Daniel’s world government prophecies [Daniel 7]. Great alliances are happening in the world and Revelation tells us that it is when great alliances are made that we will find ourselves close to the great tribulations. [1 Thessalonians 5.3].

Increase alertness, and don’t be deceived. There are two evil men involved in the end of the world the Antichrist who will be a political leader seeking to establish a new world government with the overwhelming support of a major religious leader, described in the Bible as the False Prophet. Under the guise of uniting all the people of the Earth under one, global, nation and religion, the two figureheads will attempt to strip humanity of its identity, freedoms, and suspicion, ushering in an age of blind acceptance. I admonish you to be on guard be alert. Because it is becoming obvious that these two men will come to lead soon, as many events prophesied to occur before the end time are occurring as we speak. Be extremely vigilant.

“Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.” [1 John 2:18].

“I am calling and tugging on men’s hearts to come back to Me, says the Lord. If you will humble yourself, and repent, I will hear. I will then direct you down the narrow path that leads to eternal life through Me.” Take heed! Be hypervigilant! Danger is lurking around the corner!

“Soon and Very Soon Change is Coming!”

By Lou Yeboah

For, Thus Saith the Lord: “Behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

“I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. [Malachi 4:1-3, 5]. Listen and take heed. “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because your salvation is nearer now than when you first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. Put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” [Romans 13:11-12] Because I tell you, soon and very soon change is coming!

Just imagine what it will be like when the hand of God will begin to plague the ungodly, when He will pour out all the vials of His wrath upon you and crush you with His power. What will happen to you when God says, “I will remove my adversaries and severely punish my enemies.” I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue” [Psalm 50:22]. Do not trifle with it, repent while it is still daybreak. Because the longer God’s arm is uplifted, the more terrible will be the blow when He finally strikes.

I tell you, it is in great love that He restrains His wrath, for He is “slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. But, just like a torrent that is dammed up for a while, gathers force and strength, and every hour in which it is kept back it gets to be more irresistible, so it is with “the coming wrath” when it finally comes upon you. Do not take God’s forbearance for granted, because even though the wrath is delayed for a while, it will surely come.

Consider this, you who forget God.

“One Day Too Late –God’s Wrath Came Early!”

By Lou Yeboah

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So, the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them. For the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” [Genesis 6:5-13]. Then the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.  And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs. [Revelation 14:19].

The unbelievable horror of putting off Christ! The eternal sadness of waiting one day too long is like the terror of those who missed the Ark in the days of Noah, or those who failed to escape Sodom and Gomorrah when they had the opportunity. Think of the scoffing thief who died Christless within inches of the Savior—at the very moment Jesus sacrificed Himself on an adjacent cross. Think of the multitudes at the Great White Throne Judgment who will frantically insist their names “must surely” be written somewhere in the Lamb’s Book of Life. But they will have waited too long.

Listen, the Bible warns that every human being is subject to sudden death. No one has the promise of another second, minute, day, or hour. For the Bible teaches that our days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle [Job 7:6], like flowers that quickly fade [Job 14:2], and like a mist that appears for a little time then vanishes [James 4:14]. Let today be your day of salvation! Turn now from your evil ways and deeds. For it is appointed to every man to die and then the judgment. Do not be unrepentant. Do not be stubborn.  Do not be like Felix. As Paul reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. He turned aside from the call of God and the message of the apostle. He stifled the voice of the Holy Spirit, and answered God’s invitation with the word, “Some other time, some other day; when I have a convenient season, I will” [Acts 24:25]. That day never came. That tomorrow never came. That convenient season never arrived.  He died, they say, a suicide.  He died without God, without Christ, and without hope in the world. One day too late! God’s wrath came early!

And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!” [Revelation 8:13]. Don’t wait until it’s too late! Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand!

“It’s Going Down!”

By Lou Yeboah

“I’m telling you right now! You have taken my forbearance for granted and have ignored my warnings. I gave a command: I said, “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, that I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. I told you, your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. I told you, I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. I told you, I will remove wild beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. I told you, you will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. I told you, I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. For I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high, but yet instill, you have taken my forbearance for granted and have ignored my warning. I tell you; it’s going down!”

I am going to bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. I am going to set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you. I am going to punish you for your sins seven times over. I am going to break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze. Your strength will be spent in vain because your soil will not yield its crops, nor will the trees of your land yield their fruit. I am going to send wild animals against you, and they will rob you of your children, destroy your cattle and make you so few in number that your roads will be deserted.

And if in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, then in my anger I will be hostile towards you. I am going to bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I am going to send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands. When I cut off your supply of bread, ten women will be able to bake your bread in one oven, and they will dole out the bread by weight. You will eat, but you will not be satisfied. You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters. I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you. I will turn your cities into ruins and lay waste your sanctuaries, and I will take no delight in the pleasing aroma of your offerings. I myself will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who live there will be appalled. I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.

But if you will confess your sins and the sins of your ancestors—their unfaithfulness and their hostility toward Me, which made Me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of their enemies—I will remember My covenant with Jacob and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. For I am the Lord their God, and for their sake I will remember the covenant with your ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. [Leviticus 26:3-46] Return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning; and rend your hearts, for I am gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and I will relent over disaster. [Joel 2:12-17]. For the times of this ignorance, I winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent [Acts 17:30]. Once My wrath begins, it will not end until it has accomplished its purpose. [Jeremiah 30:24]. Repent before it is too late! “For in the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. Now is the time of My favor, Now is the day of salvation.” [2 Corinthians 6:2]. Don’t wait until it is too late! If you do, you will see My power and might. I will bring terror to you. You will not escape My wrath and judgment. I will use My wind, water, and fire to open your eyes. You will see the truth. You will understand your error when you see the destruction and hear the war drums. You will know I AM THE LORD. I will make everything desolate. You will fall on your knees and beg for mercy. Repent or Perish, Now! “For in one hour is thy judgment come.” [Revelation 18:10]. It’s Going Down!

“You’ve Been Given Notice!”

By Lou Yeboah

Get yourself together, repent at once, and act as you did at first, or else I will surely come and remove your lampstand out of its place- [Revelation 2:5]. I will come in and sweep your house clean, says the Lord. Repent while it is still daybreak!

Listen, as God through Pilate gave Israel one last chance before consigning the nation to perpetual judgment. [John 19:8-16] He is giving you one last chance to repent.  The parable’s lesson in [Luke chapter 13] is that mercy and grace are available to all who will come to Christ IN TIME. Because eventually time runs out. ]Hebrews 9:27]. This is an urgent call to use the second chance wisely. This is a judgmental word filled with overtones of grace. [Luke 13: 1-9]. Don’t be like the self-righteous, prideful Jews who were horrified at the demand for repentance. How could they acknowledge sinfulness and the validity of God’s condemnation? They compared themselves to others who had met with unfortunate disaster and judged themselves to be worthy of God’s favor. But Jesus turned the tables on them once again as He pressed home the urgent need for repentance. As a nation, this was their last chance to repent. Don’t you wait until it’s too late! There is a season and time for everything. [Ecclesiastes 3:1-8].

Listen, this is where the rubber meets the road. This is where it comes down to the wire. For Jesus says in [Revelation 2:21] “And I gave her time to repent, and she did not repent.” Understand that it is only the forbearance of God that stands between you and eternal damnation. You are living on borrowed time. Opportunity to repent does not last forever. For He said to the vineyard-keeper, “Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down! [Luke 13:7]. I tell you; God’s patience won’t last forever. “Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, the unrighteous man his thought, let him return to the Lord and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” [Isaiah 55:6-7].

Listen, no one likes to be commanded to do anything. But here is a command from Almighty God that applies to every man, woman, boy and girl born on this planet. God says you must repent. No excuses will be accepted. If you do not obey God’s command, you will someday face a divine court-martial. Don’t take the grace of God for granted, make use of this opportunity to repent. “Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!” [Ezekiel 18:31-32].

“But if they do not listen, they will perish by the sword and die without knowledge.” [Job 36:8-12]. You’ve been given notice! Repent while you still have a chance!

“Living on the Edge!”

By Lou Yeboah

Boasting in your arrogance!  Deceived by your comfort! ‘Now hear this, O foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see; Who have ears but do not hear [Jeremiah 5:21]?  Be mindful, of the height from which you have fallen. Repent at once, and act as you did at first, or else I will surely come and remove your lampstand out of its place” [Revelation 2:4-5]. “What is your life, but a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” [James 4:14]. Repent while it is still daybreak!

For, “Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and destroy the sinners thereof out of it. [Isaiah 13:9]. For Thus saith the Lord, “I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” [Isaiah 13:9-11]. Living on the Edge! Boasting in your arrogance! Deceived by your comfort! Repent while you still have a chance!

And when He, [Jesus] drew near and saw the city, He, wept over it, saying, ““If you, even you, had only known on this day the things that make for peace ??? but now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you, and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” [Luke 19:41-44]. I tell you; God is about to turn up the heat. Repent now before it is too late!

“And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.  They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them. [Revelation 9]. The results of Living on the Edge!

“About- Face!”

By Lou Yeboah

Change your direction. God has given you the opportunity to give your life to Him in this era of human history, but you have neglect it. About – face! Don’t gamble with your soul! God’s offer is only guaranteed for today. For [2 Corinthians 6:2] says, “Now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.” You may be dead tomorrow. Wake up! Don’t be like the people in Noah days, who were unconcerned about salvation and got left behind. Make every effort to enter the narrow door. For as [Luke 13:22] states, “there will be many who will try to enter in and will not be able to, because once the Master of the house gets up and closes the door, they will be standing outside knocking and pleading, sir open the door for us, but “He will answer,” I don’t know you or where you come from. About – face. Change your direction, position, and attitude!

Now, there may be someone who is reading this, who has been riding on the grace, mercy, and longsuffering of God your whole life. There may be another who may have never even thought about what will happen to you when you die. You may not see a need to be saved. You may be like the men of Athens – “we will hear thee again of this matter “– [Acts 17:32]. You may be like Agrippa, “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian” – [Acts 26:28]. You may hate God, you may despise God, you may do everything you do in opposition to God – but I want you to know that there will come a day that you will have to stand before the same God you hate; the same God that you despise, and when that day come, if you have not accepted the Lord as your Savior, you will be sorry that you didn’t heed God’s warnings and pleas.

Change your direction, because as [Romans 14:12] reminds us, “Everyone will give an account to God, no one will escape. For if God spared not the angels but cast them down to hell; and if God spared not Sodom and Gomorrah but destroyed them; and if God spared not the old world which was destroyed in Noah’s flood, certainly God will not spare this current world. About – face! Change your direction! Don’t wait until it’s too late! The Bible is very clear that there comes a time when it will be too late to be saved. [Hebrews 9:27; Hebrews 12:17; Luke 16] Don’t you wait until it’s too late!

I can only imagine the sheer terror of realizing I have refused God one too many times. Like Belshazzar [Daniel 5], who saw the writing on the wall. But waited until it was too late! Judgment had been declared. The Bible records his trembling, his fear, his knees smote together in terror. He found no place of repentance, he found no mercy, he found no grace. God was done with him forever. In Genesis, when the angels came to Sodom, judgment had already been declared. Their fate was sealed. The angels came to save Lot and destroy the city. All the inhabitants were dead men walking even before the angels arrived in Sodom. Symbolically, they desperately groped for the door in the darkness, but like the handle to the door eluded them, so had the door to eternal life been slammed shut for eternity. Don’t wait until it’s too late! About- face! Change your direction! Change your position! Change your attitude and remember, Noah preached repentance, he warned of coming judgment, he warned the people of impending doom, the invitation to be saved and avoid judgement was extended for many, many years. But one day, the offer was withdrawn. There came a day when God shut him in. It was over, even before the raindrops began to fall; before the fountains of the deep were broken up; before there was any sign of the impending deluge. Heed the warnings, hear God’s plea because “When death comes, it will be too late for repentance. [Hebrews 9:27]

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. [Revelation 22:17].

“Uh, Oh!”

By Lou Yeboah

That moment when you realize that you should have listen. Uh, Oh- That moment when you realize that you should have heeded God’s warnings. Uh, Oh – That moment when you realize that you are in Hell. Uh, Oh, [Luke 16:28].

Feasting on sin, giving yourself over to the present gratification, careless of the warnings of God’s Word, indifferent to the rebuke of conscience, saying to yourself: ‘There is no danger; I know the strength of my will, and before I near the rapids I shall fly away to safer habits and purer ways.’ But when the time comes, and the roar of impending judgment rings in your ear, you will find out that your will is paralyzed, that your affections and desires are so entangled in sin that you cannot escape. Uh, Oh – that moment when you realize that you should have heeded God’s warnings.

Change your ways today. Get off the broad way that leads to destruction and get on the narrow way that leads to life. Jesus is not playing games with us. You see, no one loves us more than Jesus does, and no one have warned us more of judgment and Hell than He did. He gave warning after warning and told parable after parable, practically shouting about judgment and the reality of Hell.

Don’t be bewitched by the fairy tale ending that everyone “lived happily ever after.” Just ask the rich man in hell… Meanwhile God is pleading, Come to me. Come to me before it is finally time to rise and close the door. You can’t go on living resistant and opposed to the Kingdom of God and its values, yet magically at death suddenly want to enter His Kingdom, which you have resisted your whole life.

Don’t choose the fleeting pleasures of sin and miss the Kingdom of God. Jesus says in [Mark 9:43-48], “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Why go to hell when you don’t have to?

Jesus scolded, begged, and pleaded with the Jews, to open their blind eyes and soften their hard hearts, to turn away from the broad way that leads to destruction, but to no avail. Jesus cried out in sorrowful desperation; “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!” [Matthew 23:37].

One of the saddest passages in Scripture is Jeremiah 6:16, “… they said, We will not walk in it.” Uh Oh!
