“Have the Jury Reached a Verdict?”

Lou

By Lou Coleman-Yeboah

Yes, we have your Honor. We, the jury find the defendant, [insert your name], Guilty as Charged! To count one… Selfish ambitions…  Guilty… Count two… Idolatry… Guilty. Count three… Adultery… Guilty. Count four… Lewdness… Guilty. Count five… Fornication… Guilty. Count six…Murder… Guilty. Count seven…Hatred…Guilty. Count eight…Contentions…Guilty. Count nine…Jealousy… Guilty. Count ten…Uncleanness… Guilty. Count eleven… Outbursts of wrath… Guilty. Count twelve…Envy… Guilty. Count thirteen…Sorcery…Guilty. Count fourteen…Drunkenness…Guilty. Count fifteen…Heresies…Guilty. Count sixteen…Dissensions…Guilty. [Galatians 5:19-21]… Sentence imposed…Life in Hell! Imagine that! It has happened to you according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” [2 Peter 2:22]

You see, the Bible warned, “… be sure your sins will find you out” [Numbers 32:23]. That proves that you cannot get away with sinning.  The NEED FOR THE LESSON. Consider the seriousness of sin and man’s foolish self-deception.  Sin is the transgression of God’s law [I John 3:4], and punishable by death [Romans 6:23]. The DOCTRINE OF THE LESSON. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap, and you may count on this law [Galatians 6:7].

Listen, it is essential that you examine yourself with God’s help and turn from any wickedness in your life [Psalms 139:23-24]. If the sinners in Zion are afraid,” as scripture declares, and “fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. [Leviticus 18:26-30]. How can you escape? You can’t!  For scripture declares…. the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” [Ezekiel 18:4]

Hear Jesus in [Mark 9:43-45]: “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. . . . And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.” [Revelation 20:15; Luke 16:22; Matthew 22:13; 2 Thessalonians 1:9].

Repent, Repent, Repent! Before your soul is required and “your spirit shall return unto God Who gave it.” Before suffering and evil come upon you, while it is yet day and there is still time to repent. “ For [Revelation 14:10] says, “The wicked shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.”

Don’t delay! “…Repent and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…” [Acts 3:19]

Woe unto you says the Lord, for the day of reckoning is upon you [Hosea 9:7]. You serpents and brood of vipers how are you to escape being sentenced to hell? Don’t you know that the law of sowing and reaping is as true for God’s people as it is for unbelievers! “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” [Galatians 6:7-8].  I tell you, you cannot mock the justice of God. You cannot trifle with God. Sin is the transgression of God’s law, and punishable by death [Romans 6:23]. You need to know that you are walking a very dangerous path. You are playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun and you are going to lose everything, because the Russian roulette you are playing is Spiritual and it is more dangerous, more tragic, more condemning, and more deadly than any kind of Russian roulette played with a man-made weapon. And you call yourself a “Christian” but you play with “Sin” like a cat plays with a mouse. You go through life “Claiming” Christianity but living like the Devil. You “Toy” with God, not considering that your life is even a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. I tell you, playing games with God is a very dangerous situation. Living in and out of sin is a very dangerous situation. Toying with other people’s salvation to justify your own rotten filthiness is a very dangerous situation. Repent you hypocrite!

For you are just like Jehoram, who knew the path to take but chose not to walk in it. After all that he saw, he knowingly chose to follow the ungodly path of the wicked kings of the northern kingdom of Israel. And as a consequence of his choice, his end was the most pathetic and dishonorable of any of the other kings of Judah. You see, the time finally came when God had enough of Jehoram’s unfaithful walk; “And a letter came to him from Elijah the prophet. It was a letter that had all the authority of a word directly from God Himself; and here’s what it said: Thus says the LORD God of your father David: Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, or in the ways of Asa king of Judah, but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and have made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the harlot like the harlotry of the house of Ahab, and also have killed your brothers, those of your father’s household, who were better than yourself, behold, the LORD will strike your people with a serious affliction—your children, your wives, and all your possessions; and you will become very sick with a disease of your intestines, until your intestines come out by reason of the sickness, day by day [2 Chronicles 21: 12-15]. I tell you warning comes before destruction. You’ve been warned!

May God help us learn the hard lesson from the life of Jehoram; and choose to walk—all the way to the end—the path that leads to life!

“Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not refuse it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who sins against me “wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.”  [Proverbs 8:32-36]

“Living on Borrowed Time!”

Lou Coleman-Yeboah

By Lou Coleman-Yeboah

For those who are so busy living from day to day who forget how completely fragile and uncertain life is.  Wisdom is calling aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the opening of the gates in the city, she speaks her words, “How long, you simple one, will you love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?  Turn ye at my reproof: behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” [Proverbs 1:20-23] … For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. [James 4:14]. Think about that for a moment. Your life, here one minute and gone the next.

Listen, there are two choices in life presented by Jesus [Matthew 7:13-14]. One grounded in human understanding, and one grounded in heavenly understanding – [Romans. 14:12] [2 Corinthians 5:10]. If this message is anything, it is a challenge to begin the process of moving your life closer to the way God wants you to live it. You see when God gave the 10 Commandments at Mount Sinai, He thundered these words: “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me” [Exodus 20:2-3]. God does not want us to place anything before Him. His desire is that we worship Him and Him alone. He must come first in our life. This is the same message that the Book of Haggai, communicates: Put first things first. It was written to people like us, who live with misplaced priorities. Jesus said the same thing: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness…. [Matthew 6:33].

I tell you, it’s time for you to do some serious self-examination before the Lord. Consider your ways [Haggai 1:5, 7]. Stop long enough in your busy schedule and evaluate your life in light of God’s Word. Measure the consequences of your actions. Because when death nears, [here one minute, gone the next] priorities change. What used to seem significant may dim in comparison to one’s ultimate fate…. Check yourself before you wreck yourself!

Principles of Priorities…  [Matthew 5:6]… [Matthew 6:33] … [Matthew 25:14-25] … [Hebrews 10:24-25]…

[1 Peter 2:2]… [1 Corinthians 3:16]… [1 Corinthians 6:19-20]… [2 Corinthians 5:7]… [2 Corinthians 6:16]… [Romans 10:17]… [Ephesians 5:22-29]… [Ephesians 6:1-4]… [Haggai 1:2-11]… [Proverbs 15:13-15] [Proverbs 17:22]… [Proverbs 12:25]

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel.” [Mark 1:15]

Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”’ [Revelation 14:6].

“Knock, Knock! [Who’s there?] Boo! [Boo hoo?]

Lou Coleman-Yeboah

Lou Coleman-Yeboah

By Lou Coleman-Yeboah

[Boo] your homie, let me in.   I don’t know any [Boo]. Man it’s me, let me in. I tell you, you better not open that door. You better let [Boo] stay where [Boo] is… On the outs. You see, [Boo] ain’t really [Boo]. [Boo] is Satan himself in disguise. He ain’t your homie and he show ain’t your friend. If you let [Boo] in, make no mistake about it, you will pay the piper. You better take heed to what [Ephesians 4:27] and [1 Peter 5:8] says, “Do not give Satan a foothold. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” If you open that door, you can be assured that once he enters and establishes his ground, he will build a fortress of lies around himself to protect and maintain his presence and control. Satan wants nothing more than to enter certain areas of your life so he can gain a stronghold. He’ll try anything to throw you off center, distract you from your focus, and render you ineffective for the Kingdom of God. Don’t be deceived: the devil will never come to benefit you! He will never come to bless you or to give you life, he comes to kill, steal and destroy. He is good for nothing but always up to something. Don’t let the devil in, and don’t give him a key! Don’t do it! Keep his behind on the outs!

Don’t be like David. The devil came knocking, and David opened the door.  It was as if he turned the light on, opened the door, shook the dust off the welcome mat and asked him to come in. You and I never have to fall prey to the devil! If we can shut every door, close every window, and seal every place in our lives through which the enemy would try to access us, we can prevent him from getting in.  You see when the devil came knocking during Jesus 40 days of fasting, Jesus didn’t open any doors. In fact, he slammed them shut [Luke 4].

I tell you following in the footsteps of Jesus, we must refuse to make deals with Satan, no matter how attractive the trinkets. We must refuse to be a commodity that is for sale to the highest bidder. We must refuse Satan’s insistence to relax in the passenger seat of our life. For me, I want no part of Satan’s negotiations, and I don’t need any arbitration either. We are not friends. We are and forever will be enemies. And, I am okay with that. Don’t open that door! Decide and Conquer [Revelation 3:7-13]. That’s it and that’s all!

“Going Around Thinking You’re Superman!”

Talking ‘bout can’t touch this! Well, “Can’t Touch This,” I got One Word for you: Kryptonite…. ….That’s right…. Kryptonite…. What? What you say? I can’t hear you…. “Can’t Touch this” talk to me…..Hello…. my point exactly… True enough, the Man of Steel is an iconic character and he is as powerful as they come.  Bullets can’t hurt him.  Nothing is faster and he is the strongest that there is. But don’t get it twisted, even Superman has a weakness. That mysterious green substance called Kryptonite. Yes, Kryptonite renders Superman useless.

Listen to him as he is faced with Kryptonite…. “At that moment far out in space, strange…., I feel so weak…. No strength at all! Dizzy… faint… as though I’m near Kryptonite! May be an asteroid containing it nearby, I’ll check with my X-ray vision! WH—What? This ship… It-its lined with Kryptonite…. And over that, a layer of lead… the only substance my X-ray vision can’t penetrate… Th-this is a trap… a flying coffin that will carry me helplessly through space forever.” Now ain’t that ‘bout nothing….. Can’t touch this….

comic

I tell you, you better listen to Superman because Satan has also placed traps out for you to get caught in. Pitfalls to fall into [Psalm 119:110]. As [Hebrew 2:1] says, “It’s crucial that you keep a firm grip on what you’ve heard so that you don’t drift off. Don’t be fooled…. Kryptonite will destroy you.  Don’t look up; don’t look back; run for your life!” [Genesis 19:17b]. You have not a moment to lose. “Escape,” the angels says, “for your life- it is now or never. A few more minutes, a few more hours, and it will be too late.”

You see the Bible tells us in [Ephesians 6:11] that we fight an enemy that uses “wiles” to get his way in our lives. Satan would like nothing better than to trip you up and cause you to fall into one of his traps. Just before Jesus died, remember He told Simon Peter that Satan desired to have him that he might sift him as wheat, [Luke 22:31-32]. Satan wants to do the same to you and me. He wants us to fall. He wants us to fail, and he will stop at nothing to bring that to pass.  So, beware of every impulse, temptation that comes down the line. Check out everything by the Word of God and by the will of God and the Lord will always lead you in the right way!

Realize your danger. Don’t trifle with your own soul, with hell and heaven, with God and His bleeding, inviting Son. Now, now, now! “Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die and not live.” There is but a step between us and death. [John 3:36]. Know that Lady Wisdom only allows a window of time to show your love for truth and wisdom. If you neglect or reject her offer, she will withdraw and neglect or reject you in your great hour of need when you call upon her for help [Proverbs 1:20-32]. Don’t delay! Destroy what steals your strength, because Satan will use slick and enticing speech to get you to yield to his plans for your life. He practiced this kind of trickery in the Garden of Eden when he talked to Eve, [Genesis 3:1-6]. He told her that she could question God’s Word; He told her that God did not really mean what God has said; He told her that God was really just holding out on her. In other words, Satan will give you every reason in the world to justify the things he wants you to do. Then when you have followed him and are out of God’s will and in trouble, he will discard you like a piece of trash and leave you to rot in your sins! You better know that you know! Don’t be deceived. You see, [2 Corinthians 2:11] tells us that Satan desires to gain an “advantage” over us and to do this; he will use every trick in the book to get us to follow him into failure. Be careful because the Enemy can be deceptive. He can be destructive. You do not have to fall for everything the devil tells you! He is a liar and the father of it, [John 8:44]. The Bible tells us in [Ephesians 4:27], that we are not to give “place” to the devil in our lives. We must always be on guard to avoid his attacks. Don’t even let him have so much as a foot in the door! Take the steps that are necessary to defeat the devil and walk in victory!

David writes: “The proud have hid a snare for me…” [Psalm 140:5, emphasis mine]. The trap that the devil or the wicked are setting for you is something you can’t see. It is laid in secret: “…they privately [secretly] laid a snare for me” (142:3). “…they commune of laying snares privately…” (64:5). Perhaps you are caught in a snare right now – trapped by the enemy. At one time, you were like a bird, flying about, singing a sweet song. You spread your wings of faith and soared into the heavens. You knew what it meant to be free in Christ. But the enemy set a trap for you – he laid out his net and placed the corn nearby – and you went for it. You flew down, caught your foot in the fowler’s net, and the trap sprang. You were caught! And today you sit in bondage, feeling trapped by your sin.

Don’t worry be happy; I have incredible news for you. If you’ve been trapped by the enemy – if you have fallen into his snare, yet you know you love God with all your heart – the Lord will not allow you to be the enemy’s victim. He will not let you remain in the devil’s teeth. You are about to be set free! “Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth” (Psalm 124:6). The snare is broken-and we have escaped! [Psalm 124:7] Yes & Amen to that!

“What a Tragedy It Would Be…!”

To have gone through your whole life and at the end of it, look back, and realize that you spent all your time, money and energy on things that were pointless and had no value or worth. [Mark 8:36]. I tell you, we should all pray as Moses did in [Psalms 90] for God’s help to understand the great value of our limited time and how to make the most of each day. Of all that Moses could have asked, he simply asked, “Lord, teach us to make the most out of everyday… teach us to number our days.” Moses understood that his time here on earth was short; soon it would come to an end. Moses didn’t want to waste his time; he didn’t want to waste his life –So he cried out, “Lord, teach us to number our days… Interestingly, in the New Testament, the apostle Paul says, “So be careful how [you] live, not as fools but as those who are wise…” [Ephesians 5:15-16]. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.?” [James 4:13-15].

Listen, over and over again, the Bible exhorts us to redeem the time. Like Moses, we have to learn to number our days. We must not waste our time, opportunities, or our life . Don’t be like Belshazzar who in [Daniel 5:1-31] was living for this life.  Living to gratify his flesh with absolutely no thought for eternity.  Partying, playing, and living for the good times, never realizing that there will come a day when the fun will end.  He never stopped and asked this one important question: What will happen when the party’s over? I tell you Belshazzar is an example of a wasted life. He died a sinner’s death and went to Hell. And he is still there today, [Luke 16:19-31]. Things did not have to turn out the way they did for Belshazzar.  He knew the truth about God, yet he failed to act on it.

I want you to know that the story of Belshazzar is a story of one tragedy piled on top of another.  But, his story does not have to be your story.  The ending to your story has yet to be written.  Your story does not have to be one of a wasted life, the wrath of God and a wretched death.  Your story can have a happy ending.  I am asking you to make sure of your relationship with Christ. Christ demands more than just churchgoing, more than just baptism, more than just being good. He demands your total surrender—the surrender of your mind, your heart, your body, every part of you—to the Lordship of Christ. If you have a doubt in your heart that you have totally surrendered to Christ, do it now. Make sure of your salvation. Make certain that you know Christ. Repent of your sins. Confess your sins, acknowledge them and turn from them. Receive Jesus Christ into your heart by faith, making a total commitment to Him, and to Him alone. End your life well, to the glory of God.

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; what shall it be for you and I if we follow suit….[2Peter 2:4-8].

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.[Deuteronomy 30: 19-20]

“Buyers Beware!

Lou Coleman-Yeboah

Lou Coleman-Yeboah

By Lou Coleman-Yeboah

Don’t buy into the lies! There are some Pastors preaching prosperity and blessing sermons that are not Scriptural. I want you to know that Scriptures are very clear about the subject of financial prosperity in the New Covenant. In fact Jesus talked about money more than He specifically talked about Heaven and Hell combined –so there’s absolutely no excuse for ignorance on this subject. We have simply to look at what the Word of God teaches not the way that man says it will happen. So because many times we hold to traditions, mindsets, or beliefs that aren’t Scriptural there comes a time when God is faithful to confront us with truth and bring us correction. Don’t be mad at the messenger.

Woe to you, you false pastors, prophets and teachers. Luring people to Christ to get rich is both deceitful and deadly. (Luke 14:33). (1 Timothy 6:9). Why would you develop a philosophy of ministry that makes it harder for people to get into heaven? Why would you develop a philosophy of ministry that promotes less faith in the promises of God to be for us what money can’t be?  Confess your sin, repent, and get cleansed by the blood of Jesus from all covetousness, or you will surely be swallowed up by damnation from the pit from whence your false doctrines come!

Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you”. But he explained in the context what these “other things” are that God would add to us –they are “food” and “clothing [Matthew 6:25-33]. God promises to supply all our “needs” according to His riches in glory, not all our “wants” or “desires” [Philippians 4:19]. Jesus had our basic necessities in mind when He promised that God would provide for us. To twist this into a promise for financial prosperity is, to put it plainly, to adulterate the Word of God.

This is what God teaches in the Bible about riches: [Pro 13:7]   There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. [Pro 28:20]  A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. [Pro 28:22]  He who has an evil and covetous eye hastens to be rich and knows not that want will come upon him. [Ecc 10:6]  Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. [1 John 2:15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Do not fall for the trap. Be wise and seek Him and His Kingdom first and all that you need will be taken care of.  Let us not seek after the wealth but let us seek after Him. When we are ready, He will indeed bless us and we can rejoice in the goodness of God. I believe in prosperity spiritually as well as financially. I do not mean for this article to sound like I am bashing all prosperity teaching. I only want to shine the light of God’s Word on the extreme teachings which are giving us in the Word of Faith camp a bad name. I hope that you will take this Word and see that our focus should be on Him and Him alone. Let us set aside all these other things and put God first.

To All You Halfhearted, Self-Satisfied, Fence Straddling Christians…”

Jesus says you make him sick to His stomach. He says, “He knows your deeds and works, that you are neither cold nor hot, and that He wish that you were either one or the other, cold or hot!–but because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, He’s going to spew you out of His mouth….”—[Revelation 3:15,16,19] For you provide neither refreshment nor healing. You are useless to Him and His purposes for the church in the world. Conniving, trying to have your cake and eat it too, trying to get the full reward but not paying the cost. Repent you hypocrite! For half-heartiness is treacherous in God’s eyes. Half-heartiness is a serious mistake. You better think deeply about Apostle Peter’s warning, “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God…”  You may be 80 percent for God and 20 percent for the world, but the truth is that not even 99.999 percent is good enough for God. He requires of you nothing less than total commitment. There is no gray area! You got that?

Listen, it doesn’t matter if you are Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Evangelicals, Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal/Charismatic, Christian, Assemblies of God, Seventh-Day Adventist, Mormon / Latter-Day Saints, Churches of Christ, Jehovah’s Witness, Buddhism, Hinduism or whatever, you better know that if you are half-hearted and self-satisfying, you are in danger of being violently rejected. Jesus says, “If you do not repent and become zealous, then the mechanical, cool, superficiality of your faith will be your destruction, and He will spew you out of His mouth.”

I want you to know that in [Amos chapter 5], God boldly confronts the sin of His people. He declares that He despised their actions…He hated their religious festivals and observances. He refused to accept their offerings and sacrifices. The sound of their praise made Him angry and He was fed up with their idolatry. The call of Christ, to the church at Laodicea and for you today is to repent of all wickedness, all half-heartedness and all self-sufficiency. You can longer halt between two opinions. Repent before it’s too late!

“No Corners-Cut, No Pacifying and No Round-about Way!”

That’s right! No ifs, ands, or buts. It means what it says and says what it means. I want you to know that the Ministry that God has entrusted to me is just that, “No Corners-Cut, No Pacifying and No Round-about Way… Period!  So if you’re looking for a people pleaser or someone to condone your wrong, you might as well STOP READING RIGHT NOW! Put it down, because I am not the one. I am not a people pleaser, neither do I condone wrong and I don’t scratch itching ears, and I don’t care who you are. I am sent neither by human commission nor from human authorities, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead. [Galatians 1: 10-12]. When it comes to God’s Word there is no tolerance. There is no variation in God; He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. You got that! Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, [Acts 7:51]. Ye serpents, generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? [Matthew 23:33]. As [Jeremiah 2:19] says, “Your own wickedness will correct you, and your backslidings will rebuke you.

I want you to know that I have been charge before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his kingdom to preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. [2 Timothy 4:1]. To speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! Now your ungodly friends may cheer you on towards destruction. They may bequeath the kiss of flattery. They may coddle your ego, telling you what you want to hear. Well forget about it, ain’t going to happen here! Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel [1Cor. 9:16].  I want you to know that Jesus was not afraid to wound his friends for the healing of their souls.  He rebuked followers and Pharisee alike. He would not have hestitated to say things that would offend us. He was without guile, without flattery. He called a spade a spade, and sin “sin.” Teaching this way is not optional. He said to me, “I charge thee, [Lou]. I am commanding you. I am ordering you to preach the Word and to be instant in season, out of season.” In season is when it’s popular. Out of season is when they don’t want to hear the truth. Then he said this: “Reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.” What is reprove- To tell someone that they’re wrong. What is rebuke -To reprimand; strongly warn; restrain. Exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. What is Exhort- To advise; to warn; to caution. It says with all long-suffering and doctrine. Doctrine is teaching the Bible.

I tell you the proverbial warnings against dismissing brotherly correction are staggering. The one who rejects reproof leads others astray (Proverbs 10:17), is stupid (Proverbs 12:1) and a fool (Proverbs 15:5), and despises himself (Proverbs 15:32). “Whoever hates reproof will die” (Proverbs 15:10), and “poverty and disgrace come to him” (Proverbs 13:18). But just as astounding are the promises of blessing to those who embrace rebuke. “Whoever heeds reproof is honored” (Proverbs 13:18) and prudent (Proverbs 15:5). “He who listens to reproof gains intelligence” (Proverbs 15:32), loves knowledge (Proverbs 12:1), will dwell among the wise (Proverbs 15:31), and is on the path of life (Proverbs 10:17) — because “the rod and reproof give wisdom” (Proverbs 29:15) and “the reproofs of discipline are the way of life” (Proverbs 6:23).

“Whoaaaa-o-o-oooooo-ohhhhh….Do you want a revolution? Whoop Whoop! I said do you want a Revolution? “…Sick and tired of the Church, talkin’ religion….But then they talk about each other, make a decision… So don’t be caught slippin’, don’t be trippin’ brother … Even when we go they say we move too much, we do too much, if you step against us, then you lose too much ain’t no stoppin’ what we doin’ when the spirit is movin’ don’t be hatin’ what we doin’ I’m the vessel he’s usin’ everywhere I be they try to judge me, they try to shake me they try to budge me but they can’t break me ’cause I’m down with Christ…” [Revolution Lyrics – Kirk Franklin]

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. [Galatians 1:10]

“You Just Don’t Get It Do You?”

Well let me break it down for you.  God says he will chew you up and spit you out. [Revelation 3: 14-16]. Like a serpent that swallows hole; and digests and then vomits the remains of its victim. Make no mistake about it. You better get your act together! Stop your sinning! God has already warned you. [Nahum 2:13] “Beware, I am against you. This is the declaration of the LORD of Hosts. I will make your chariots go up in smoke and the sword will devour your young lions. I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the sound of your messengers will never be heard again.”  I will bring you down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with male goats. [Jeremiah 51:40] “I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand, with a strong arm, even in anger and in fury and in great wrath. “You’d better change and repent or I will come and fight against you with the sword out of my mouth.” [Jeremiah 21:5]

“Remember Pharaoh…  He was disobedience to Me and it cost him his honor, his people, his slaves, his army, his son, and his own life. Ahab, he was disobedient and the dogs licked up his blood.  The kings in [Joshua 9] instead of doing what I ask them to do, they plotted all kinds of clever little devices against Me and all five of them were taken and hanged on five trees in a row. Not the mention the 31 kings in [Joshua Chapter 12] who was also disobedience, Moses and Joshua alone slain them. Like I said, I will chew you up and spit you if you don’t get your act together.” Listen, God is long-suffering and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance,” but sooner or later, life comes to an end and so does God’s patience. Don’t wait too late!

“These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.  I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!  So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.  You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.  I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.  Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me…… Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” [Revelation 3:14-22].
