By Lue Dowdy

Rap Artist, Quictamac is What IT DO Inland Empire! Another dope artist making it happen through music. I’m going to need y’all to read all about it right here.

Quictamac Samuel Quictamac” Maeshack is a Hip-hop artist born in Los Angeles California and raised in Long Beach, California. As a teenager, he was recognized locally for having great rhymes and lyrics needed to become a Hip-hop legend. In 1993, he was approached by the Press-Telegram, who wrote an article about his prevailing name in hip-hip music.

Quictamac has an active solid fan base locally and globally. He has been actively involved in the Hip-hop industry since 1993, which gives him over 16-years of industry experience and exposure.

It is known on the streets that Quictamac lyrically battled daily, as he was born to do. Over the course of his career, he has written four songs for Lil Half Dead’s debut album, “The Dead Has Arisen,” and he was also featured on Half Dead’s second single and video, “12 Pacofdoja.” He went on tour with Lil Half Dead and the Dogg Pound across the country and performed at Teens Summit in Washington D.C. Quictamac’s image continued to grow and that growth resulted in a signed contract with Def Jam West in 1995 through 1998, fulfilling his contractual agreement.

As Quictamac developed into an artist, he also developed into the role of fatherhood, placing a strain on his development and growth. He saw this as an opportunity to commence his college career and develop not only as an artist, but as a father, leader and manager in the Hip-hop industry. His keen ability to learn and develop resulted in his following features: “True Crimes: Streets of LA” soundtrack which was featured on Xbox, PlayStation 2 and Game Cube which co-featured Snoop Dogg (2003).

Quictamac’s unique style can also be heard on Lil C-Style’s Blacc Balled album, “Bounce Yo Ridahz.” In addition, Quictamac has performed with some of Hip-hop’s legends such as Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Tha Twinz, Mack-10, KRS-1and Slick Rick to name a few. He has a current following on the internet and has thousands of fans which frequently blog with him daily. Make sure you follow and support this talented artist on all social media channels under Quictamac.

Until next week L’s way up in da air!!!

What It Do With the LUE: Mer-C

Mer-C

Mer-C

By Lue Dowdy

Female emcee Mer-C is WHAT IT DO! When I see an artist on their grind, especially a female, I must say “Salute.”

I’ve been watching this talented young lady for a cool minute now. I see how serious she takes her music, image, and brand. A lot of other female emcees can truly take a page from her book.

Below is more about this beautiful, fire spittin’ Queen. Make sure you follow my articles and events on Facebook under ‘LUE Productions.’

Mer-C a.k.a. Sharea Brown was born and raised in Pomona, California. She went to school in Rialto during some of her younger years. She is known for dancing at Pomona High and in a couple music videos by Master P and Goodie Mobb. She is also a mother to two sons.

She moved to Chicago for six years and while there she won a reality show called “#Thehungriestrapper” produced by Stacey ‘Boss Diamond’ Gill where she walked away with $10,000 that she invested in herself working with a little bit of everyone from Chicago to California.Mer-C

She sacrificed it all in the height of her rap career when she moved back to California when her oldest son was off to college. While back in California, Mer-C continued to pursue her rap and pinup model career while doing shows in and opening acts for DJ Quik and Juvenile, just to name a few. She eventually ended up linking with Pomona Young and his daughter Ree Ree where together they created the Pomona Ladies Movement capturing the attention of RMM Percy and Snoop Dogg. Both ladies were chosen to go on the “Puff, Puff, Pass Tour 2” along with legends from the Dogg Pound, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Warren G, Too $hort and several others.

Mer-C came right off tour totally focused. She created her own clothing line for men and women titled, “No MerC Clothing” and “No MerB Kings Only.” Out of that she formed her own crew of Queens called the “No MerC Models” who were recently featured in “DBG” featuring Snoop Dogg and the “Don’t Fuck with Y’all” video which can be seen on World Star Hip-Hop.

Giving back to the community Mer-C also works with a group of young girls she calls ‘Lil Ladies Motivating Little Girls to Stick Together.’ The purpose is to teach little girls to stay little girls for as long as they can. Follow Mer-C on IG at @no_merc and @no_mercmodels for booking or questions email Im2010mercy@yahoo.com. Blessings. Until next week L’s!

What It Do With the LUE: Comedian mac Rome and Comedy in Barstow

Mac Rome

Mac Rome

By Lue Dowdy

Standing room only, ‘Straight Out of Barstow’ Comedy Show was a huge success thanks to Comedian Mac Rome and his affiliates. With Barstow being so far away it’s hard to provide entertainment, especially with the living population being so low. But the residents showed up in full force to see comedians Chuck Diesel, Scott Figueroa, JT Turner, Paul Deese, Kevin Davis, and Matthew Piccione take the stage.

Here’s more about the man with the comic plan, Comedian Mac Rome: Diving into the comedy world over 4 years ago, this comic has been non-stop with it. Mac Rome got his first taste for comedy when he performed at an open mic night held by LUE Productions in San Bernardino. Wanting to perfect his craft, he studied mainstream and local comics. From that point on he began to network and started landing gigs. He has performed at venues like the Ontario Improve and the Ice House.

Not being afraid to venture out he created his own comedy podcast titled, “The Mac Rome Show,” which highlights comics from all over. Gaining momentum and a fan base, he was approached to participate as a main character for an upcoming reality show called “The Bone Yard Game.” A former Naval Officer, this comic-veteran donates his talents to community events. He loves to help and give back by providing joy to others through laughter.

Make sure you follow Comedian Mac Rome on all social media sites and remember that laughter is GOOD for the SOUL. Until next week L’z!

What It Do With the LUE: DJ Damiq

DJ Damiq

DJ Damiq

By Lue Dowdy

DJ Damiq burning up the turn tables is WHAT IT DO! OMG, the feeling you get when the DJ starts playing your favorite song. Keeping a crowd entertained and engaged can be intimidating, but not for DJ Damiq. Dripping with confidence, swag, and humbleness all rolled into one, this DJ makes it happen in several clubs all over Cali. With a large fan base, he stays booked. He gives back by providing free services for charitable and community events.

Demico Sherman, better known as DJ Damiq a.k.a. The People’s DJ, roots hail from the South which includes Houston, Texas and Mobile, Alabama. He was raised in Highland, California as a preacher’s kid that loved to sing and perform. He started djing when he graduated in the summer of 2001 The Arcade, former teen club. What started out as a favor became a hobby and before you knew it, people wanted him at their parties and events.

Being in high demand, Damiq’s network has provided him a long list of DJing accomplishments. Not to mention, he was awarded at the 2016 “My Music, My Mic Indie Artist Award Show” held by LUE Productions for his hard work.

In his words, “I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even though I’m far from done, I’m at the stage of preparing the next generation of DJs that come along to have an equal amount of success. Team Work Makes the Dream Work!”

The night life wouldn’t be right without DJ Damiq literally in the MIX. Until next week L’z!
