I know it’s been a minute but ya’ girl been busy putting together an Indie Artist Award Show honoring artists and entities in the Inland Empire; please be on the lookout for, “My Music, My MIC” scheduled for Saturday, August 1 at the San Bernardino Women’s Club. So, this week What it Do with LUE, is the 1st lady. Noooooooooo, I’m not talking about Michelle Obama. I’m talking about Crystal Scott a.k.a. LowLA Scott, 1st Lady of LUE Productions.

This Gemini baby started out as a model and jumped into the rap game with no fear. This young lady is literately blazing her way to the top. LowLA is what I like to call that sexy, gangsta’, fire spittin’ lyricist. She’s’ truly a tall drink of water. Having to overcome obstacles, her love for her two-year-old son, Neo, keeps her grounded and grinding for better opportunities in LIFE.

What it Do! What it Do! Well, this week rapper TBone is what it do folks. Have you ever met a person blessed with multiple talents? Tyronne a.k.a TBone has been doing music for a long time. Despite going through career changes and the ups and downs of life, Tyronne knew he had a special gift to share with the world. Performing all over Southern California, he is a jack of all trades. Stepping out into the entertainment game with no fear, this producer, rapper, engineer, and photographer made heads turn and ears open.

TBone is truly a passionate artist who’s serious about his craft. Developing his own label titled, “Knuckle Headz Recordz”, he takes time to work with other upcoming artists. He calls himself “The Number One IE Supporter”. Remembering what his mother and grandmother told him as child has kept him going.

TBone recalls, “I remember momma and grandma said that I will always be special, and I think I am. Not to be famous because in God eyes I am.”

What It Do Beautiful People! It’s no secret how much I love talent, especially unique talent. Last year I had a chance to see an amazing artist that they call, “NoFace The Shadowmen”. When I first met him I was like “Ooookkkaaaay!” I was a little unsure and didn’t know what to expect until he began to play. This man is a genius when it comes to rocking on the keys. His music puts you in the mind of Jimi Hendrix. His funky sound will take into a trance and get you dancing all night long. Growing up an orphan not knowing his parents, he was able to use that hurt and pain to make feel good music for all to enjoy and love.
Performing all over Southern California and beyond he has truly left his musical mark.

“Noface” is the shadow who came to life. His magic is music. Calling himself a “Citizen of the world”, he possesses a style and vibe from both past and future. We don’t know where he came from, but we do know where he is going, everywhere! His bold, unique sound turns air molecules into keys. Attention! Attention! Attention! This week the Album Release Party of LUE Productions artist Mack Pepperboy and recording artist Jet Tanner is WHAT IT DO! Two talented forces have united together to bring forth a powerful project!

This Sunday, April 12, is the album release party for their project titled, A.B.S., which stands for “ALL BOUT SALES”. The project features songs such as, “All I know”, “Backpack and Shades”, and “Birthday”. I think the name of the project is perfect for these two artists due to their nonstop hustle. When I say hustle, I’m referring to their push of their album sales. It is no secret how often they go back and forth out of state promoting and networking. They understand the importance of being relevant and staying before the people.

Mack Pepperboy is an artist with that Cali sound and New Orleans flavor. His bars and performance will leave you wanting more while Jet Tanner is an artist that brings that swag through his lyrics and his beats. What it do with the LUE! Our city is what it Do. The Dark Clouds! Just as a thunderstorm brings forth clouds filled with precipitation which brings forth rain, hail, sleet, and snow, our city is covered with clouds bringing forth HATE, PAIN, VIOLENCE, and MURDER. In the words of legendary R&B singer and song writer Marvin Gaye, “What’s Going On and Mercy Mercy Me”?    “What’s going on in the Inland Empire, what’s going on in San Bernardino, what’s going on in the homes and the schools?”

Was Marvin Gaye a modern day prophet during his time or Nah? Our city has suffered the loss of several lives due to violence. There used to be a time when a good old fashioned one-on-one fist fight would do. Those days are long gone. We’re living in an era where the use of weapons and firearms seem to be the answer. We’re living in an era where it’s nothing to take a person’s life and not blink twice. So much blood is being splattered on the very streets our children walk up and down every day. The young are dying right before our very eyes.

Is this Biblical? Is this the handwriting on the wall? Our ancestors endured much so we can have more. When I say more, I mean more opportunities to a bright future. Please don’t tell me their struggle was in vain. What will it take for us to unite and fight for our future generation to come. I know I’m not alone when I say, “Peace Be still”. Just as Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream, so do I.

I dream that someday, and someday soon, we can see ourselves in each other. That we can walk hand in hand with our own. We need the leaders and when I say leaders, I’m not speaking to those sitting in a suit behind a desk. I’m referring to those street leaders. The ones that really have the influence on the streets, the ones our sons and daughters emulate. We need those individuals to come to the table and HELP HEAL THE LAND.

This Saturday a community forum is being held to understand what’s happening. This forum is a platform for the community to cry out. Please come out to S.O.S., State of San Bernardino. The event is hosted by “United Nations of Consciousness” and sponsored by several other community entities. Let your voice be known! This is ya’ girl LUE and our town is what it do!

What it Do Inland Empire? This week, young talented R&B/Pop male singers is what it do with LUE Productions. As some of you know LUE Production’s manages 8 talented acts based out of the Inland Empire. Our goal is to provide platforms for artists of all nationalities.

At this time, we’re looking to add to our entertainment family. We are currently putting together an all-male group as well as a dance team for events, competition, and more.

Our company is currently recruiting for the following:

• (1). Eight dancers (4 males, 4 females) who must be well rounded in multiple dance styles and over the age of 18; and
• (2) We are also looking for four male R&B/Pop singers between the ages of 17 and 19.

What it Do Inland Empire! This week I want to highlight an individual whom I’ve had the opportunity to see grow and blossom into an amazing artist. Can I get an “Aye Doe” in the words of LUE Productions recording artist Dada Doe.

Dada Doe whose real name is Barbra Martin is what I like to call the female Pee-wee Herman. Born and raised right here in the I.E., her love for singing, dancing, writing, and rapping made her want to become a performer. Currently a member of the Turnt Up group, Speaker Junkiez, Dada Doe felt it was time to work on her solo project. Last week fans, family, and friends had the pleasure of attending her EP release party for her project entitled “Dada Said” which includes songs such as “After Hours” featuring Mack Pepperboy; “Legend” featuring LowLa Scott; and “Pop Star”, featuring Paul Douglas. The EP includes exclusive beats from hot up and coming producer Shawn Mattison also known as SFresh, who is based out of Dayton, Ohio. With this being her first swing at it, I think she hit a home run. I’m not just saying that because she’s under our management company.

We also want to congratulate Dada Doe for receiving her first endorsement contract from “100 Proof Energy Drink Company”. From her swag, to her colorful attire, along with her lyrics and dance moves, it’s no wonder why she’s loved. Watching her perform does something to your spirit. It puts you in a happy place. Honestly you can’t say that about many of these artists. This is just the beginning I tell you. So please make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for I.E.’s female Pee-wee Herman. What it Do this week Inland Empire! Being raised in the church and actively a part of the choir growing up, let’s just say that this girl loves the LORD. As we all know traditional church music and songs are becoming more and more extinct. Don’t get me wrong, I love the old songs and hymns but I also love the new music too. With that being said let me introduce our talented LUE Productions Gospel Rapper, Michael Napper, also known as, DUNAMIS L1019!

Currently residing in the Inland Empire by way of St. Louis, DUNAMIS L1019 is not taking any prisoners with his unique sound and way of words. He started rapping seriously at the age of 20. The Lord, his family, and the people inspired him to become a Gospel Rapper. DUNAMIS L1019’s love for rap and the Lord made for a great combination. One of his goals is to not only touch and reach broken souls outside the faith based community, but within too.

This gospel rapper has had an opportunity to work with some major hittas in the game such as “2Face Humble & Riteous”, “Prophetic Muzik Group”, “Jason Taylor”, “Triumphant”, “Moedy Woods”, and Producers “Larry Boyd”, “RJ”, and “Nubrain”. LUE Productions Indie Artists Showcase Showdown this Sunday at the Office Saloon in San Bernardino located at 123 North E. Street is WHAT IT DO! So, this Sunday several artists will be going head to head for a chance to open for the legend, SUGA FREE. The winner will not only receive a free performance slot but other awesome prizes. The competition will be judged by qualified individuals and hosted by the TWEET TWEET MAN himself, IE’s own, TheRealDirty Birdy.

The night will be action packed with dope performances starring musician NOFACE THE SHADOWMEN and featuring LUE Productions artists: Mack Pepperboy, Paul Douglas, Dunamis L1019, Dada Doe, Lowla Scott, Speaker Junkie ENT, and B.C. Group. There will also be special performances by Yung Muusik, Faulty, Yawnie Mami, RETRO 80z, Jet Tanner, Ms Beauty, and Money Ant.
