John Wayne Grit Series Pioneertown Half Marathon & 10K
Bring your John Wayne Grit to the trails and #RunToFightCancer with John Wayne Grit Series on Saturday, May 16 in the John Wayne Grit Series Pioneertown Half Marathon & 10K. Located near Joshua Tree National Park, Pioneertown was built in the 40s to be an 1880s themed Old Western movie set and is now a popular getaway, home to the world famous Pappy & Harriet’s. The exposed course is a challenging and picturesque singletrack trail, guaranteed to bring out your #JohnWayneGrit. You’ll start off on Pioneertown’s “Mane Street” and head into the scenic trails through the Sawtooth Mountains in the Pioneertown Mountain Preserve with 360-degree breathtaking views of the spectacular high desert. Finish back in town and meet us at the Hay Barn for the John Wayne Grit Down! The run will benefit the John Wayne Cancer Foundation so every step you take will help us in our fight against cancer. Start a team & fundraise for your chance to earn exclusive merchandise, free race entries, and hotel stays! Like John Wayne said, “They may find a cure for cancer even without your help, but if I were you I wouldn’t bet my life on it.” See you in Pioneertown & bring your John Wayne Grit because Pilgrims, we’re all in this fight together.
