Hailed as one of the defining voices of contemporary music, Blige has released eight multi-platinum albums, earned nine Grammy Awards (including a staggering 32 nominations), two Academy Award nominations, two Golden Globe nominations, and sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. After three decades in the public eye, this multi-faceted artist remains a figure of inspiration, transformation and empowerment for her intensely loyal fans around the globe.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Blige signed with Uptown Records at age 18, becoming the upstart label’s youngest and first female artist.
