Preparations for 2025 Juneteenth Annual Meetings, US Civil War Tours, Miss National Juneteenth Scholarship Program and Gala Celebration in Downtown Birmingham, Alabama continues amid Alabama, National and Global turmoil.

Our hopes and fears are heightened yet a few key supporters are making a way where there was none.

We hope to gain wisdom and strategic methodology to align our Title 5 US Federal Holiday throughout the State of California while enjoying the down home love of “Sweet Home Alabama.”

If the “Heart of Dixie” initial Capitol of the Confederate States of America can find the heart, mind and spirit to officially celebrate Juneteenth, why not California?  “Not Yet” was the construct a few years ago, that still is the value today.

Plans for our 2026 Juneteenth California State Capitol Celebration must continue our proud “California Grown” tradition and feature our unique and authentic “California Journey From Slavery to Freedom” remains far too difficult to embrace or even acknowledge this California 175 – 1850 Compromise of Slavery and Fugitive Slave Laws.

Throughout the State of California, planned 2026 month-long efforts to showcase statewide public and private events toward expanding “California Pan African Global Trade and Commerce” while reconnecting displaced family bonds via “America’s Peculiar Institution” through California Grown Apartheid.

Throughout our Great State of California, the 4th largest economy globally, we must continue to encourage more California public municipalities and private Multi-National Corporations to align with our newest Title 5, US Federal Juneteenth Holiday, as an official paid holiday.

Friday, June 19, 2026, we celebrate mutually beneficial relationships from a year round effort after sitting at the feet of seasoned Alabama Civil Rights legends and walking US Civil War Alabama battlefield sites.

Together, we will prepare for a very special 2026 Juneteenth California season showcasing our unique California Journey From Slavery to Freedom, to include recognition of 1,918 USCT as documented at the African American Civil War Museum in Washington DC.

From sea to shining sea and beyond, our long and arduous journey towards freedom continues.

An official paid State of California Juneteenth Holiday aligned with our Title 5 US Juneteenth Federal Holiday will one day become a priority for California political leadership and not simply a bargaining chip to leverage for convenience.

We give thanks for a full year expression of the 175th year of California Statehood, exploring the 1850 Compromise over expanded Chattel Slavery and Fugitive Slave Laws in the newly acquired lands after the 1848 US/Mexican War.

Juneteenth, is our global milestone at the close of our U.S. Civil War.

Join us for a special “California State Capitol Juneteenth Block Party” for all Californians to pause and discover our unique journey towards freedom as we reconnect with our extended global Pan African family both at home and abroad here in “Sweet Home Alabama.”
