LOMA LINDA, CA — On the 5th anniversary of her non-profit, In Good Company with Brenda, founder Brenda Findley-Sutton isn’t just celebrating a milestone; she is honoring a legacy.
Brenda’s journey began in the wake of unimaginable domestic violence that affected all three of her daughters and led to the tragic death of her 2.5-year-old grandson. This year, he would have been 27. Instead of letting the pain define her, Brenda turned it into a mission to ensure no other woman feels alone while rebuilding her life.
“I turn my pain into appreciation for these women,” says Findley-Sutton. “Giving them a beautiful purse filled with essentials is a way to say: ‘I see you, I value you, and you are in good company.'”
The 5th Anniversary Celebration features a powerhouse of community advocates, including:
- Keynote: Chief of Police, Joseph Paulino, RET (San Bernardino Unified School District)
- Speakers: Jacke Belikoff (A Better Way Shelter), Kim Booth (Black Infant Health), Bernadette Valdez (Family Assistant Services), and Kathy Braxton from the non-profit Sick N Tired.
- Music: A live performance by Dell, with Tone Wheel King Productions.
The event will also acknowledge the support of local Mayors, Pastors, and City Officials who have stood alongside Brenda in her mission to serve those recovering from domestic violence, human trafficking, and substance abuse.
