SAN BERNARDINO, CA — The Meet & Greet the Authors event held at the New Hope Family Life Center was a tremendous success, bringing together readers, aspiring writers, families, and community members for an inspiring afternoon of storytelling, encouragement, and fellowship. Guests had the opportunity to meet five talented authors, acquire signed books, and hear the personal stories behind each publication.
Each author shared the passion and life experiences that inspired them to put pen to paper, making the event both educational and uplifting.
Linda Bardere, author of Run, Richie, Run! The Legend of a Longshot, spoke about her inspiration to encourage children to believe in themselves, persevere through challenges, and never give up on their dreams. Her story reminds young readers that determination and courage can lead to extraordinary accomplishments.
Estella Wells, author of PEPTALK: Purposeful Encouragement from God’s Word, shared that her book was born from a desire to strengthen and encourage others through Scripture. She hopes readers will find hope, peace, and daily motivation in God’s promises during life’s challenges.
Howard Boyd, author of The Underlying Current of America: Unmasking the Hidden Forces Shaping a Nation, explained that he was inspired to help readers think critically about the social, political, and spiritual influences affecting America today. His goal is to encourage meaningful conversations and informed perspectives.
Roshiek McNair, author of Spiritually Loved, shared how her personal faith journey inspired her to write a message reminding readers that God’s love remains constant through every season of life. Her heartfelt testimony resonated with many attendees seeking encouragement and healing.
Chantelle McKenzie, author of Juicy Curls, delighted families by sharing that her book was inspired by the importance of helping children embrace their natural beauty with confidence. Through colorful storytelling, she encourages young readers to celebrate their curls, uniqueness, and self-worth.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees enjoyed meeting the authors, taking photographs, receiving signed copies, and engaging in meaningful conversations about literacy, faith, perseverance, and self-confidence. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as readers of all ages connected with local authors and celebrated the power of books to educate, inspire, and transform lives.
