ONTARIO, CA– The city announced Wednesday that its new professional baseball stadium will proudly carry the name of Ontario International Airport – Southern California’s premier travel gateway.
Opening in time for the 2026 season, ONT Field will serve as home to Ontario Baseball Club, the Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate. The 6,500-capacity stadium is being built near Riverside Drive and Vineyard Avenue, just south of the 60 Freeway and will anchor the Ontario Sports Empire, the largest sports complex of its kind in Southern California.
The baseball stadium itself will feature more than 75,000 square feet of food and beverage offerings. Seating will include 4,500 fixed seats, berms, and terraced viewing areas. A 1,000-space parking structure will serve the venue, with pads reserved for future amenities.
The stadium also will feature a series of aviation-themed neighborhoods, each offering distinct atmospheres, concessions and activities. These include The Airfield, a kids zone and food hall with playgrounds, splash pad and historic plane display; The Tarmac, offering concessions, a team store and seating areas; The Ground Stop, a premium behind-home-plate area with bar, VIP entry, concessions and batting cage access; and The Flight Deck, featuring elevated club and suite patios, digital viewing areas and center bar.
In addition to professional baseball, the new outdoor entertainment venue also will host concerts, festivals, 5K races, movie nights, corporate events and much more.
Ontario Baseball Club will become a cornerstone of community pride and connection, delivering affordable, family-friendly entertainment and helping to drive year-round energy and economic activity throughout Ontario and the surrounding region. Wednesday’s announcement comes as the club prepares to unveil its team name and mascot, during a free community event September 18 at the Ontario Town Square. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature live music, a drone show, and special appearances, kicking off the countdown to Opening Day at the new stadium in April 2026.
