Anyone 18 or younger can ride free on RTA buses through June 30, 2027
RIVERSIDE, CA — As students return to Riverside County schools this month, the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) continues its “Youth Ride Free” promotion, available to anyone 18 or younger through June 30, 2027.
Youth riders may board RTA’s fixed-route and GoMicro buses anywhere and anytime they operate by showing a valid RTA Youth ID, school ID or other proof of age.
RTA also offers unlimited rides to college students whose school participates in the U-Pass or Go-Pass programs. Students attending Cal Baptist University, La Sierra University, Moreno Valley College, Mt. San Jacinto College, Norco College, Riverside City College and UC Riverside can enjoy unlimited rides on RTA buses.
In 2025, the program facilitated more than 1.8 million youth and college student trips, reflecting its growing popularity.
