RIVERSIDE, CA- The Riverside Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc introduced four of six winners of their 2014 Diamond Foundation Scholarship. These four received a total of $5,000. The scholars were introduced to the public at the San Bernardino Valley Chapter of The Links, Incorporated 36th Annual Scholarship Breakfast Ball on Saturday, May 10. All recipients will be introduced again at the Chapter’s White Linen Party/Charity Bachelor Auction on July 19 at the Life Arts Center in Riverside.

Mohamed Jawara attends Redlands High School and begins medical studies at UC Riverside. Zackery Maroste attends Granite Hills High School and will attend California Baptist University. Stephen Sanford attends Sultana High School and is going to Northwestern University. Cameron Tatum attends Carter High School and plans to attend Arizona State University. Congratulations graduates! LOS ANGELES, CA – Next Wednesday, May 21, NAACP Image Award nominated actress Elise Neal will be gracing the Rooftop 3100 stage with her new R&B group, “Assorted Flavors” for a special debut performance and television taping.

Elise Neal began her career on daytime television through a series of TV shows, initially landing the soap opera Loving on ABC and NBC’s seaQuest 2032, before securing her most notorious role on The Hughleys, starring as comedian D.L. Hughley’s wife. A multi-talented Neal was simultaneously featured in hit music videos, including Aretha Franklin’s “A Rose Is Still a Rose,” before quickly transitioning into film debuts such as Mission to Mars, Money Talks, and Paid in Full.  
In 2005, Neal landed a role in Hustle & Flow along side Terrence Howard and Ludacris playing Anthony Anderson’s wife. The film itself gained immense praise from critics and garnered the cast NAACP Image and SAG award nominations, as well as an individual NAACP Image Award nom for Neal.
More recently, Neal has moved back to television, being featured in hit shows such as The Soul Man, Scandal, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. Expanding her creative talent, Neal has moved towards production while developing and starring in a new R&B group, “Assorted Flavors”.
