Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown to Host Open House for Constituents

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown (D-San Bernardino) invites the public to attend her District Office Open House on Friday, February 28 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Constituents are encouraged to attend, meet Assemblymember Brown and her staff, ask questions and share concerns.

Assemblymember Brown represents the 47th Assembly District, which includes Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Rialto, the southwest parts of San Bernardino, and the unincorporated communities of Bloomington and Muscoy.

Purple Rose and Team Maya Host 5K Lupus run/walk

Save the date and get registered for the first annual 5K Lupus run/walk hosted by The Purple Rose Foundation and Team Maya Forever. The event will be held in Riverside at Poly High School, 5450 Victoria Avenue, on Saturday, May 10. The theme for the event is, “My Faith is My Cure”. Participant registration on that day will be at 7: 30 a.m. Runners will start at 8:30 a.m. and walkers will begin at 9 a.m. Please note that there will be a shorter course for those who are unable to do 5k. Early bird registration is from now until April 1 with prices starting at $25 for adults and $15 for children 16 and under. After that the price will go by $10. A family package is available for 1 adult and 2 kids at $45, and 2 adults and 2 kids at $65, price includes a official medal of participation and tee shirt. Participants are welcomed to decorate their own shirts as well. After the walk there will be a HUGE rally with music, food, vendors and more. LUE Productions presents “Late Night Spotlight” Live Internet Show

Artists perform on a new internet TV show scheduled for March 25 on the Inland Empire Live, a well viewed show. The show will be an online concert featuring indie artists along with quick interviews. The artists will be able to be seen not only in the Inland Empire but around the world. Only 8 slots are available and it is a first come first serve basis starting at 7 p.m. A $25.00 fee is required to secure a spot. Viewers will have the opportunity to make donations to performers. CAAM CELEBRATES WOMEN IN UPCOMING TARGET SUNDAYS PROGRAM

LOS ANGELES, CA- The California African American Museum (CAAM) presents, “Women in Action, Global Outreach” during its Target Sundays at its CAAM program on Sunday, March from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is co-hosted by actors Obba Babatundé and Jeffrey Anderson-Gunter, the program will acknowledge the ongoing efforts and accomplishments of our beloved “Queens,” nationally and internationally. Activities will include a terrific lineup of live performances dedicated to a singular theme, “Women in Action!” Performers include spoken word artist Karen Gibson Roc; vocalists Darynn Dean and Windy Barnes-Farrell; author, vocalist and poet Eloise Laws; and Kenyan singer Nasambu Barasa.  In addition, local artist and educator Teresa Tolliver will host an art workshop for all ages beginning at noon.
