Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly presented a $12,000 check to Ridgeline Little League to fund new batting cage netting at Blair Park, reinforcing his continued commitment to supporting youth recreation and community pride across the Fifth District.
In a check presentation event on October 21, San Bernardino City dignitaries, including Mayor Tran, Councilmember Knaus, Councilmember Ortiz, and Councilmember Flores joined community members and players to celebrate the investment.
“These investments are not just about today—they are about building a legacy. A legacy of safe spaces, of dreams realized, and of futures shaped right here in San Bernardino,” said Mayor Tran.
The funding will allow Ridgeline Little League to replace worn-out netting in its batting cages, creating a safer and more reliable training environment for players. The improvement will directly benefit hundreds of local athletes who participate in the league each year.
“This was a huge surprise for us, and we’re incredibly grateful to Supervisor Baca for making it happen,” said Ridgeline Little League President Preston White. “More than anything, we’re thankful our players have a place they can take pride in and call their own.”
“Every dollar we invest in our youth is an investment in the future of our community,”
Supervisor Baca added. “I’m proud to support organizations like Ridgeline Little League that bring families together and inspire our next generation of leaders.”
