ADELANTO, CA— New Leaf Ministries, Molding Hearts and Tri-State Community Healthcare invite the community to a family friendly “Take a Break” event on June 21. The event, planned from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Richardson Park in Adelanto, features a free continental breakfast.
Activities include a coloring contest, journal decorating, gratitude card creation, face painting, and interactions with Sheriff’s and Fire Department personnel. Mental health resources, music, food, and fun will be available, with special guest appearances by Behavioral Health Commissioners Jon Cahow and Amanda Uptergrove, Victor Valley Sheriff’s Department, and other mental health service providers. The first 100 children under 18 will receive a brand-new Squishmallow.
