Donald Trump is drunk with power. He is driving America in reverse against oncoming traffic blindfolded! He has proven his focus is on using the power and authority of the United States Government for self-enrichment at any cost.
His actions are not random. I think that everything that he has done since his attempted coup on January 6th, 2021, has been designed to delay his appointment with a jail cell. His seditious act of encouraging and facilitating the attempt to prevent the certification of the 2020 election is his ‘go to jail’ card!
Winning the 2024 presidential race rewarded him four more years of ‘no jail’! It also provides him the power and authority to stay out of jail for the rest of his life if he can keep his position as President. For all of you who say that doing so is illegal and even say it is impossible for that to happen, please consider what he has already done that fits the ‘mission impossible’ category.
He has normalized the concept of using our military, the most powerful in history, to do his bidding without any approval from congress…both on foreign land and in domestic cities. He has re-financed ICE and uses them as an enforcement agency that usurps the power of local police. The Republican controlled Congress allows him to do as he wants, despite the demonstrated will of the electorate! The Supreme Court, compromised by the greed of some of its lifetime appointees, has granted him immunity for his term!
I think that the ultimate piece is his audacity! He has the audacity to create a false narrative that justifies his declaration of Martial Law. His use of ICE in our cities is designed to solicit a violent response to justify his declaration! As we approach the November midterm elections, he is setting freedom-fires in the hearts of American citizens! We see that now in Minnesota!
I predict that he will disrupt the peace in other states to stoke the freedom-fires of resistance. Using the toxic presence of ICE to cause the social explosion that he will use to declare Martial Law! He will then stall/prevent/manipulate elections in a way that allows him to keep power until he dies.
Wallace, he can’t do that, it would be against the law. It would ruin America!
Yes, that would destroy the America that you and I cherish. Some of us think that he has already done so! I, however, think that we still have time to take the wheel! We must produce extremely loud and peaceful protests designed to wake enough Republican congress and senate members to put Trump in financial check!
Congress controls the purse and has the ability to redirect our course, immediately! They simply have to be made to respect the electorate more than they fear Donald Trump. A man drunk with power, blinded by the threat of jail time, who apparently has no moral or ethical boundaries!
