SAN BERNARDINO, CA — The Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC), in partnership with the San Bernardino Community College District and the San Bernardino & Riverside Counties Building and Construction Trades Council, will host a graduation ceremony for the latest cohort of the Second Chance Apprenticeship Readiness Program on March 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, located at 114 S. Del Rosa Dr., San Bernardino, CA.
The event will honor a new group of graduates who have successfully completed the program, which is designed to create meaningful career pathways for formerly incarcerated and reentry residents of San Bernardino by connecting them to union apprenticeships and workforce opportunities in the skilled trades.
San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran is scheduled to deliver remarks at the ceremony, recognizing the graduates and acknowledging the program’s growing impact on the local community. A number of additional community leaders and special guests are also expected to attend in support of the graduates, underscoring the broad community investment in reentry and workforce development across the region.
The Second Chance Apprenticeship Readiness Program stands as a model for how cross-sector collaboration — bringing together community organizations, educational institutions, and local government — can produce tangible results for individuals reentering society. By equipping graduates with the skills and connections needed to enter the building trades, the program addresses both individual opportunity and the region’s broader workforce needs.
A catered lunch will follow immediately after the graduation ceremony.
Members of the press interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP to kestrada@arc-ca.org. For more information about the Second Chance Apprenticeship Readiness Program, contact Site Manager Carlos Tavares at ARC.
