Coach Radden earns top Agape League honors.

PAL Charter head coach and PCA Executive Director Dwaine Radden Sr. capped a record-setting season with one of the Agape League’s highest distinctions, earning Agape League Coach of the Year at the conference’s annual end-of-year meeting earlier this week. The honor—voted on by his coaching peers—was officially announced Monday by Athletic Director Tony Donell.
Radden’s recognition comes during a milestone year for the Bulls, who shattered multiple school records, including most points scored and most wins since the program’s inception and entrance into CIF competition.
The Bulls’ breakout season was further highlighted by a strong showing in individual league awards, with players from every grade level earning first- and second-team selections.

Agape League Second Team Selections

Senior quarterback Maximiliano Mares Montes, one of the Bulls’ top offensive standouts, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Radden and his staff.
“I appreciate the effort you and all the coaches gave to this team. I’ll forever remember the season and PAL as the school who gave me a shot to showcase my abilities that nobody else thought I had in me!”
Radden returned the praise, calling Mares Montes “a leader on and off the field… a kid who played with heart and a love for the game I haven’t seen in years.”
The veteran coach also shared his gratitude with league president Brandon Barkley—himself a former Coach of the Year recipient—in an email earlier in the week. Radden described the season as “one of the most challenging, but also one of the most rewarding” of his coaching career.
“I am so proud of my team and salute the first- and second-team players—they deserve it,” Radden said. “Sometimes it’s not about the number of wins in a season, but about the difference you make in players’ lives and finding ways to grow as a team and in life. I thank all the coaches who recognized us getting better.”
With accomplishments stretching from freshmen to seniors, the future of PAL Charter football under Radden appears brighter than ever. Backed by a rising team culture, developing talent, and newfound league recognition, the Bulls look poised to continue rewriting the record books for seasons to come.
