Late Friday night, President Trump fired General Charles “C.Q.” Brown, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called for the firing last year due to Brown’s support of the Pentagon’s diversity efforts. Three other high-ranking military officials were also dismissed.
